SIL Supervisor - Part Time
As part of the group treatment team, the SIL Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the SIL cottage on the agency’s campus. The SIL supervisor oversees the cottage to ensure it meets agency expectations and goals, ensures the cottage maintains compliance with agency and DHHS requirements, assess cottage needs, develops goals and ensures that the cottage has a cooperative working relationship with the rest of the program and agency, supervises assigned staff and assists them in their job duties.
Along with the Employment Specialist and Case Manger the SIL supervisor leads a group treatment team with the responsibility for ensuring each child successfully completes the goals set forth in their treatment plan.
Manage the cottage to ensure it operates within the rules, regulations and guidelines set forth by the State of Michigan’s DHHS, MCHS, and CARF, and CCI.
Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet objectives set by the Director of SIL (DSIL) and the leadership team; participate in developing department goals and objectives.
Establish and maintain cottage systems, records and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continual improvement of cottage services.
Education and Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in a human behavioral science such as Social Work or a related discipline where 25% of the course credits earned toward the degree are in human behavior sciences.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a residential or inpatient setting working with serious emotional disorder (SED) at-risk youth between the ages of 16-21 preferred.
Experience as a supervisor in a residential program preferred.
