Job Summary

The Program Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating daily operations within the Independent Living Plus (ILP) program. This position provides leadership and support to staff, ensures services are delivered in alignment with agency expectations and goals, and maintains compliance with applicable agency, licensing, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The ILP Supervisor assesses program needs, develops goals, promotes a cooperative working relationship across the agency, and provides guidance to assigned staff in their daily responsibilities.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise assigned staff and volunteers to ensure they are performing within the expectations of their roles.
  • Provide guidance, training, support, and assistance to staff as needed, including staffing, performance management, professional development, workload adjustments, and addressing concerns.
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, accountability, and motivation.
  • Oversee program operations to ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, contractual requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Establish and maintain administrative procedures, systems, records, and reports to support program goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership, supervisors, and team members to ensure quality service delivery and ongoing compliance.
  • Perform on-call or direct service responsibilities as needed

Education and Experience

Qualified candidates should meet one of the following requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 2 years of related work experience; or
  • Two years of college from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of related work experience; or
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of related work experience.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Computer and software applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet applications, and other tools necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • Program operations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to the assigned service area.
  • Behavior patterns, group dynamics, and methods for supporting individuals served, as applicable.
